AmbachtHaus is the artistic vision created by Shauna McNair, inspired by natural elements and a love for abstract expressionism. The handmade pieces aim to bring comfort and beauty to homes resonating with nature. Shauna is a creative person who enjoys interior design, cooking and party planning. She is happily married with two supportive boys who have deemed her a famous artist, and she resides in the Waterloo region of Ontario, Canada.

“Working with alcohol inks brings me a deep sense of calm. There’s something truly magical about the way the ink flows and blends — watching the colors merge and evolve feels both soothing and mesmerizing.

“I absolutely love working with alcohol inks, often combining them with other mediums to explore new textures and expressions. Every time I pick up a paintbrush and touch it to canvas, a sense of calm washes over me. It’s as if the outside world fades away, and I’m fully present in the creative process. In those moments, my mind is clear, my heart is open, and my artistic flow comes alive. Creating art becomes a form of meditation — a peaceful escape where I can lose myself and simply let the colors guide me.”
